…i joined Jason Scheff (from the band Chicago) in Las Vegas where they were doing a string of dates…i was there for a couple days to help write with an artist he was developing at the time…our writing session had ended, Jason headed back to LA, and the artist to Nashville - but i still had an evening in the hotel room.. as i was waiting out the clock "In Love With My Lover" literally just came to me..i wrote it in an hour or so…and i knew i had to record it right away to get the idea down..bUt..i didn't have a mic!…however, i remembered Ducky saying that a microphone and headphones are essentially the same thing (in reverse)..sO, i hooked up headphones to the computer, and, these are the results….it's rough sonically..but i do think there's something about recording a song right after you write it..it'll never be as fresh as that first time...
